Day 3 of testing

Well, things have gone pretty good so far this week! I had another shot in the arm yesterday (they used the other arm, thank goodness) and both days, it sure made my arm sore. Oh, well! :) Today, I took a 4 millicurri (sp?) radioactive iodine pill and now, nothing until tomorrow. Tomorrow's the lab work and then Friday is the body scan and then LUNCH AT OLIVE GARDEN!!!! :o) I've been on this low iodine diet for 16 days and as of 20 minutes ago, I've lost 18 pounds. I KNOW!! Yike-a-roonies!! Well, at least I know that I'll put 7 back on just from Olive Garden alone. Ha! :D

I asked the the big city's hospital's lab how long it would take to get my lab results and they didn't seem too confident about their answer. They said it would take a week to get the results. I made it back home today, though (we got a snowstorm last night that closed all the roads through the night and morning), so we'll see if my good 'ol small town hospital can get them, to me quicker. The big city's hospital told me I wasn't even allowed to pick up my results from them but that I had to get them from the doctor. I'm glad that my small town hospital lets me pick them up.

All for now! I'm going to head into work for a bit and then just R&R. I'm just not feeling the best since I swallowed that pill this morning and the yucky feeling kind of comes and goes. I think my stomach is protesting and saying, "QUIT swallowing those pills!!!!" That sounds like a good idea to me! Ha...I wish!! :)
