Life

Okay, my window is fixed and things are pretty much back to normal. I have an appointment on July 6 to have the inside work done on the car, but the back windshield has been replaced and my car is driveable again (thank goodness!). :)

I'm still struggling this week to get caught up on coursework. I went to my yearly church convention last weekend and then to visit some friends on Monday night (friends who used to live nearby but now live SEVEN hours away) and I tell ya what...all of that time away really put me behind in schoolwork! Don't get me wrong...I enjoyed every minute of it. I've just had to work double time to catch up and I still feel like I'm struggling with it. This weekend, though, I have no plans, so hopefully I'll get caught up AND get ahead on things.

We were thinking that because of budget cuts, the University wasn't going to plant flowers outside our building this year. :( Guess what?! They showed up today and filled up the flower bed! Yay! Usually this is done at the beginning of June but I think that the cooler weather this summer slowed them down a bit. If you remember from previous posts, these flowers end up being quite beautiful (see below)!! I'm glad they didn't cut them out because of budget cuts. :)

Have a good weekend!!

I am so glad they planted flowers! It is one of my favorite things about driving past the university in late summer!
Thanks for the update Jen, and we loved seeing you to.

Jen, I'm glad your car is showing signs of improvement! You will do great with your classes, but I understand your feeling of being behind. Linda

I was in town this weekend and noticed that the city's (usually gorgeous) flower beds are all empty. Sad. :(

Glad yours got planted!
