For the first time in my life, I've been selected to serve on a jury. The trial starts tomorrow and is estimated to run through the 20th. Not only does that mean that I am going to be gone from work, but I'm also going to be missing the first days of the classes that I'm taking this semester at the University. *sigh* What do you do, though? After all, if the court system calls, you go!!! And, as one of my Professors stated, "Jury duty never comes at a convenient time!" :o)
So, don't expect to hear much from me for awhile. I'll be home this weekend (they let us leave for the weekend...for the evenings, too, if we live close enough and want to go home) but then back at it next Tuesday. Now that the initial shock has worn off of actually being chosen (don't ask my mother about how I was during that time), I am kind of excited about it. I've never done this before! It should be interesting!

Since you'll be home thins weekend we should get together.
My day off is Thursday and Sunday lunch works for us; if you're not booked!
Should I say Congratulations!? Will your professors let you get caught up in your classes?? Linda
Go Jen! Call me whenever you can Scrabble!
I used to think that all sounded exciting... then I read a few John Grishams and changed my mind... let's hope it's not like that!
Everytime I've been called, it would get cancelled. hope it goes good! :)
I was called once, but didn't get chosen. ;-) Good luck! It must be a pretty involved trial for it to last through the 20th.
