Fischer was warming up to all of the fun, that's for sure!! :) Here he was, trying to get the birthday toy to make some noise!
And now for Corbin, the birthday boy... He wasn't real sure what to think about this flame on his cake AND having all of us sing to him!! He did know that he wanted to dig into that cake with his fingers (as you can see from his dad's hand having to restrain his arm!).
NOW he's finally allowed to dig in!! :) He was a little unsure at first, but he dug in pretty quickly. People were laughing over something at this point and Corbin just knew that people were laughing at him because he was just SO funny! :)
While getting ready to open presents, Corbin threw out his signature facial expression. He's just hilarious when he does this! :)
In these parts, we get very serious about opening presents. If it means we have to crawl up on the present to get it opened...well, so be it. :)
After watching some of the other kids getting the birthday toys to make noise, Corbin just had to give it a try himself! If you look close, you'll see that the paper was ripped away from the tube, so no matter how hard anyone would blow, no noise would ever come out of the broken toy. However, that did not deter Corbin! No sirree...he knew exactly what noise those toys made and he imitated the sound with his voice. Forget having to have the thing actually work...we'll improvise any time!!!
And, last, but not least, one of the neatest presents of all...a rocking horse! Corbin's grandma Kathy re-did this rocking horse to make it all new and shiny for Corbin. She gave it a new tail and mane as well as a new saddle and reins. It was awesome! What's even more special about this rocking horse...it belonged to Corbin's daddy when he was a little boy. Here is the horse along with a couple of videos of Corbin rocking and rolling on this thing! :)
