I did it.

I did it.  I joined facebook.  I said I wasn't going to, but I'm tired of feeling like I want to leave comments for people but can't (because I have been using my mom's account (with her permission!) to look at pictures and such).  So, I joined tonight.  And as I was adding "friends" to my list, all of a sudden facebook started popping up a repeated message that said something like, "You're adding friends too quickly and that could be seen as annoying to people.  You need to significantly decrease this action or you will be blocked from facebook."

WHAT????  Isn't facebook a networking site?  How can making friend requests be annoying to people when you're just asking the ONE person to be your friend!?!

After getting that message, I proceeded to send out 10 more friend requests. :)  I figured I'd better chill, though.  I'd hate to be blocked from facebook BY facebook on my first night with them.

How ridiculous... :o)

It's interesting that they would discourage heavy use of their site. I didn't know they were into teaching good manners :-)

that IS odd. They probably try to catch and stop spammers right away, I wonder if thats their nice way of warning you? Glad to see you on!
