- My parents & brother are coming to town today!! I'm very excited to see them! They'll leave on Monday when I go to work, so it's a short visit for them.
- I have been feeling a bit "blue" for the last couple weeks now. I can't figure out if it's a seasonal depression that's going on or if it's more than that. This week has been better, thank goodness. I've been super busy this week, though, so maybe I didn't have enough to do over the last couple weeks? Who knows...
- I am so over school right now. I have two classes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and one class on Tuesdays & Thursdays. All of them are over the lunch hour. I've decided that it's rough not to have ONE day off from having classes (when working full time).
- In 15 weeks, I will be turning 30. Thirty!!! Yikes!! What am I going to do?!?!
- Why do people have to be so rude? If there is one thing that will leave me speechless, it's when complete strangers make comments TO ME in a public setting about my weight. It just baffles me. And we're talking rude and mean comments, too. It's not just a general observation or an "engage in conversation" comment. It's a flat-out rude comment about my appearance. Why do people have to do that? Do they not think that I already struggle as it is that they have to add their two cents worth? I just can't imagine doing that to someone, especially about something so sensitive.
- Back to school...my new mantra is, "I can do this, I can do this!!!" :o)
- Have a great day!!

I've got a great idea for what you can do for your birthday! ----You could come visit us and all the fun things to do in Tyler! It'd be a great memorial event for your 30th!!! I'll even cook your favorite food for you birthday dinner. ----
.....
Is it working yet?!? ..... Smooches chica!
Or you could come see Grpa G and Grma S...we live closer, are cheery, nice folks!! :) Oh, yes, all our kids have grown up and moved away, so you can have your pick of bedrooms!
On turning 30 - I'd heard lots of ladies say that their 30s were far better than their 20s, and I must say, I agree. I'm sure there's more to it than just hopping into a new decade, but I'm a lot more comfortable in my own skin as a 30-something than I ever, ever was in my 20s :)
I'm sorry you've been the recipient of rotten comments :( I'm sending you great, big hugs to fend off the meanies!!
I'm glad your blogging hiatus didn't last very long! Enjoy the visit with your family. In about 15 weeks I'll be 38 - which is well on my way down the slippery slope to 4-0! I agree, shrug off the mean people and start planning now for your special day!
How about for your 30th we have that slumber party you were talking about?
Some people are beyond comprehension. A female relative asked me, "Why are you so fat?" in those exact words!!!
Hi Jen and the Martin crew! I keep thinking of you over and over and missing my first time Mama Chari and the ol' Woodtick are there and I'm not! hugs hugs kiss kiss ;)
ignore the mean people and remember how well loved you are by many!
Ditto to most of what Hilary said. Except the part about nearing 40. I'm not quite there yet. But, so far 30 is good. Come on in, the water's nice!
HI Jen, I hope you had a good day. We did. :-) I'm sure you enjoyed your family. You are one busy lady with all those classes...good luck. I know you will do well. And 30...well you are still almost a "child". Wait until you get my age!!! That is when the #'s really get big and seem old. Rude people....I could say lots of things but it's best I don't! I'm sorry they chose you to be rude to. You could go see Susie one weekend then come to my house the next and have your pick of beds at my house. Linda
well, if,n ewe wuz ti listen to the 'ol woodtick, he sez about those meen people who shoot off their mouf before locking in their brains, and this duz really werk, SHOOT UM IN THE LEG AND BURN THE VARMITS OUT!!!! i love ya girl and i wood gladly handle the shootin and burnin fur ya.
hope things are going well for you and you had a lovely time with your family!
Yes, Jen, you can do it, you can do it! And by the way I have "Jen this week" already entered on my calendar for December 17. So we must have planned something way back months ago (remember I asked you to jog my memory but you forgot to jog it :( ) Now that should put me at the head of the line for places to go(even if I can't remember what we had planned). So I have a suggestion - how about we meet in Billings and head to Plentywood! And about the rude remarks - I can't comprehend how anyone could do that. Complete lack of proper upbringing. Miss you, Jen. Would love to have a visit with you. Enjoyed our time together the wedding weekend.
