Loss

We lost a dear Friend in town this week. She had a heart that was always full of care and concern for each soul that crossed her path. She wanted the best for everyone. And she wanted everyone to have a part with The One who is the best! I know that she will be greatly missed by MANY people near and far.

Death certainly puts everything in perspective again, too. Why is it that I wait until times like these to really appreciate and value what's most important in life? Why is it that it takes times like these for me to realize that I need to keep in touch with friends and family and to let them know how much they mean to me and how much I love them?

As one of our hymns says, "Life at best is very brief...". May we all learn a little more about living in the moment and cherishing those who are special to us. May we know what it is to make the most of our days by letting God lead our steps.

Why does it take death or tragedy to make us wake up sometime? I've been thinking of this a lot lately also, with all the death, tragedy etc. that we've heard of. Thinking of all of you in Laramie touched by this experience.

Death can help us get a better perspective...but the seperation and loss are hard. A dear lady back home is gone now, too...fun'l tomorrow. She was quiet and absolutely true blue. It's a privilege to know people like this.

I had just been thinking about her. Thinking I needed to find her email address and tell her hello....now its too late. And I am too slow! She was so kind and yes, you all will miss her. Hugs,
