It started with a late arrival on Friday night so there wasn't much visiting time before we all had our sleepy heads on our own pillows. But Saturday we were up early and ready to go! We had a nice relaxing breakfast but then it was time for Wade to go feed the horses. Well, Julie went out to "take pictures" and here's how her picture taking went...
Good thing I was around to capture the horse feeding on film!! :)
Next up...Wade wanted to demonstrate just how far along that Buford has come with being ridden. I personally think that Wade did an excellent job leading Buford and that's why Buford did so well, but you be the judge...
While Wade was riding around on Buford, the girls were doing their own thing. Callie was trying out a saddle...
...and Amy was demonstrating her future career as an acrobat! :o)
Next we went for a little drive up the road for a picnic and some running around at the shale pit. Everyone had a great time, as evidenced in these pictures! Oh, and if you're wondering where MY picture is for this jumping and running around...well, they don't exist. I refused to jump off of some of the hills that these guys were jumping down from!! So, I was just the picture taker!
Yup...even Amy gave it a try!! (If you click on the picture, her facial expression informs you of her excitement! What the picture doesn't show is that Amy was on ground that was hardly inclined but she was proud as punch to be doing what everyone else was doing! :)
Julie and I...
After finishing up lunch, we decided we'd better head back to the house to meet the guys and decide what we wanted to do for the afternoon. I caught this picture on our way back... Soon after arriving back at the house, we decided to head to town and go bowling and then out to eat. I didn't capture any of the bowling moves that were witnessed at the lanes, but it's probably a good thing! :)
Sunday morning, Justin and Mel and crew went one way and Julie and I went the other. After meeting, we went to lunch at Dave's house where we were joined by Lisa and crew. It was great! Too soon, though, it was time to head back home. We were saddened by this but we realized we had no choice. But we were cheered a bit when we remembered the one special stop we had to make to help out a friend! Here's what we found!
And so it goes...another weekend with good friends provides good memories but it's back to work in the morning! Have a great one! :)

Hi Jen!
Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. I love to know who's "watching" us LOL!! I sort of recognize your picture, how long has it been since we saw each other?? Did we know each other well? I feel like someone with amnesia! LOL Will you be at Menomonie this year? I hope to be, maybe Thurs. or Fri. with my boys. Hubby and daughter will join us Sat. or Sun.
Hi Jen! Thanks for leaving us a message on our blog - it was so fun to hear from you! It's been years since we've seen you I'm sure & I'm so glad to find out where you're at : ) How long have you been in Wyoming? Your pictures are gorgeous! We love the picture of little Amy (especially my 3 year old Connor)... so cute to see how thrilled they are to be like the big kids : ) Well, thanks again for getting in touch! Will love to check in on you now thru your blog... I'm a bit pokey w/ keeping up yet but hopefully will keep getting better!
How long has it been since we saw each other...probably 8 years or more! It's been awhile! I've been out here in Wyoming for five years now and it was quite some time before then that we saw each other. And, really, we didn't know each other that well. I think it was more from groups at convention and such. (Menonmonie was my home convention.) But as far as knowing each other well...no. :) I was closer friends with Jarita who was close friends with you so I believe that's where the connections started. ;)
Thanks for stopping by!
Jen M.
