Well, I saw this on Melissa M's blog and also Shannon's, so I'm going to do it, too! :)
Consider yourself tagged if you have a blog. Finish the sentence:
1. Maybe I should write a book!
2. I love mint chocolate chip ice cream. And sleeping in. And reading books. And lots of other things.
3. People would say that I'm outspoken.
4. I don't understand why people are so dirty. I mean, does anyone else think it's disgusting that the prostitute that the NY governor was caught with is being offered money by several entities to premiere in their movies or magazines? I am appalled. And it reminds me again just what this world is made of. What people are like when their human nature takes control.
5. When I wake up in the morning I'm usually annoyed at the alarm and that it's already time to get up! Maybe I need to go back up to #1 and change it to read, "Maybe I should work on having a better attitude when I wake up in the morning."
6. I lost a lot of things over the years but they always turned up the minute I really gave up hope of finding them. Or after I went out and bought another one.
7. Life is full of laughter. Remind me of this in a time when it's absent from my life, okay?
8. My past is what it is. I learn from it. We all can learn from our past.
9. I get annoyed when people are rude and inconsiderate, whether it be while I'm driving on the road or standing in line at Starbucks or working with students at the office. But I always wonder if it annoys me so much because I am that way myself sometimes. They always say that the things that usually irritate us the most are things that we do ourselves!! Eeks!
10. Parties are fun if they're small and don't involve alcohol. And if I'm in the right mood. :) My idea of a "party" is just a small get together with my friends, not something like a big college bash. Yuck.
11. I wish that when my life is over I am found to have just followed God's will.
12. Dogs are not something that I ever want. The ONLY dog I would ever consider getting is a miniature daschaund. That's it. Everything else...No.
13. Cats are okay but they never have the personality that I want them to have. They always want to run away and go outside. Hmmm...maybe this also says something about why I don't have children.
14. Tomorrow is Friday. And I will fully enjoy it because I know that the next morning (Saturday) I'll get to sleep in!! Wahoo!! :)
15. I have low tolerance for being made to wait. Who doesn't have trouble waiting!?
16. I'm totally terrified of dying before I feel ready. If I think about it enough, I can have some severe anxiety over it! Crazy, huh?
17. I wonder how old I'll live to. (Do you think this answer was prompted by the previous response? Maybe a little.)
18. Never in my life have I been as skinny as I've wanted to be. Hmmm...do you think my expectations are unrealistic? No, I don't think so, but I do think that I put too much focus and emphasis on it instead of just enjoying where I'm at.
19. High school was a long time ago. I enjoyed it, but I don't need to repeat it.
20. When I'm nervous I sweat. Yuck.
21. One time at a family gathering I overate. Wait. I think that I do this at EVERY family gathering. *sigh*
22. Take my advice: Do the best you can to learn not to care what other people think about what you do or what you say or what you are. I'm still learning, but I have a lot more freedom when I just release from it. It's amazing!!
23. Making my bed is not as consistent of a task as it used to be. My mom told me recently (in the last year or so) that you're supposed to let your bed air out so that the bed bugs don't thrive. So, I quit making my bed. It was several months after that when I was talking about it that she informed me that I only had to let the bed air out for about 15 or 20 minutes or so. Oops. My bad.
24. I'm almost always late to work. I know it's irresponsible and inconsiderate, but no matter what, I just can't get up earlier!! It is, disturbingly enough, one of my New Year's Resolutions to get to work on time. Consistently.
25. I'm addicted to Cocoa Pebbles right now. Sometimes I get really disgusted with myself about it, but then I think, "Well, it could be worse."
26. I want someone to leave me a lot of money when they die so that I'm financially secure for the rest of my life. Then I could put more focus on other things rather than putting so much focus on financial things. Yeah. Probably not going to happen.
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing you think you cannot do." ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

Another Day Off. :)
Well, I'm home again today. It's my last day, though, since I'll be the only one in the office for the rest of the week. My to-do list isn't nearly as overwhelming today, either, so it will be a little more relaxing of a day today. I'm not going to "update" like I did the other day, but here's a few of the things I plan to do:
* laundry
* reorganize closet shelves
* I get the newspaper from the hometown that I grew up in (it's a weekly paper) and I haven't been able to read it since January, so I'm going to catch up on that.
* homework for my class. I want to add a couple more comments to the online class discussion.
* WRITE LETTERS!!! :o) I will be getting a few of these done today. Wahoo!! :)
* If any time is left (which I doubt it will be!), I will read a book. *sigh* What a day! :)
So, you all enjoy your Wednesdays and I will, too!! Adios!!

A Day Off
Updated at 9:30 PM -- Well, I didn't get everything done that I wanted to, but I got a good majority of it done! I feel much better now. :)
So, it's spring break week at my work and things are rather quiet. (I still have to work even though the students get the week off.) But, last Friday, I decided that I wanted at least ONE day off, so today is that day!!! :) I stayed up late last night, reading a book, and then slept in a bit this morning. Now, for the rest of the day, I have a nice list of things to accomplish. I'll mark off at the end of the day what got done and what didn't, so you all can see that I didn't waste my day (plus, having to check in later will PUSH me to do these things instead of wasting the ENTIRE day reading a book!). So, here's my to-do list:
* Put away clothes (completed)
* Sweep the hardwood floors (completed)
* Go through the mail that I haven't gone through for almost two weeks. (completed)
* Read this week's chapter/assignment for my class and get an early start for the week. I also want to review a couple of previous chapters because I didn't get to spend much time on them earlier. (completed...I didn't get to reviewing the previous chapters, but I got this week's work done already. Yay!)
* Write a few cards and letters. (kind of complete...I got the one card out that I needed to get out and the others are organized and waiting. I will slowly work on those.)
* Wash dishes. (completed)
* Take out the garbage. (completed)
* Pay Bills. (completed)
* Clean the bathroom. (This is one that could wait, so we'll see if I get to it.) (completed)
* Go to the gym. (completed)
And, really, that's all for today! I want to get all of this done by mid to late afternoon so that I can have a LAZY evening with a good book. :) So, to help with that, I'm going to go to the gym first and get some energy going. Yay! :)

I hate politics.
So, I'm posting something new because I am sick and tired of looking at that Barack post every time that I come to my page!! So much so that I might delete the dumb thing. I've been trying to be better in recent weeks to be involved with what's going on, politically, and to be informed and ready to make decisions. All it has really done is give me some anxiety about our future. We have a sorry pool of candidates, folks. I'm worried about what will happen to us with ANY of them. I do not feel confident about any of them, nor do I feel like we would be protected with any of them. So, I've decided that the only thing that I can really do is pray that the right person is chosen for the job so that God's plan can continue. *sigh* I hate politics.
Now for a cartoon. Because I've been thinking that I want to get a cat AND because I'm such a wonderful morning person, I thought I'd post this cartoon today:

The Big Man on Campus
So, Friday night found me at the Barack Obama rally! It was quite the thing! I'm guessing that close to 9,000 people came, so it was LOUD!! Anyway, I'm not much of a politician, but I wanted to go and listen to Barack and see what he had to say. Here's what I thought: He's quite a charmer and he knows what to say and when to say it to have the crowd eating out of his hand. :o) So, basically, he's like any other politician! But, really, Barack IS quite a charming fellow and he WAS easy to listen to. He has a lot of big promises, though, that I'm not really sure he can hold up to...which would be like most politicians. Either way, it was an exciting thing to go to as I'd never been to any type of politicial rally before and it was kind of neat to see someone famous in person like that. I do live a rather sheltered life, after all. :)
So, here are some pictures and a video of the event. I put the words of the video below it so that you can read what he's saying while he's saying it! :)

"When I decided to run, it was with the belief that the size of our challenges had outstretched the capacity of a broken and divided politics to some...and the belief that people were desperate, were hungry, for something new, something different, that they didn't want a politics that was all about tearing each other down, they wanted a politics that was about lifting the country up!" - Barack Obama, March 7, 2008

Daylight Savings Time
Did you know that the Daylight Savings time begins THIS SUNDAY, March 9!!??!! I'm so surprised! This seems to just have popped up out of nowhere, however, I know that it's not much different than last year.
So, just a friendly reminder...don't forget to turn your clock forward before you go to bed this Saturday night, March 8!! :)
